Accessibility

Last updated October 2026

We want everyone to be able to use this website. This page explains what we have done, where it falls short and how to tell us about a problem.

What we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have built and tested the site ourselves. We have not yet had it checked by an independent accessibility auditor.

What the site does

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Text is set at a readable size with strong contrast against its background, and the layout works from small phones to wide screens.
  • Photographs have text descriptions, and every form field has a visible label.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, the animated thread and needle are switched off and the photo carousel does not start on its own.
  • The photo carousel can be paused, stepped with the arrow buttons or the keyboard, and each photograph can be opened full size.

Known limitations

  • The thread that runs down the page is decorative. It does not carry any information that is not also in the text.
  • Some labels are set in small capital letters at a small size. We keep them at 11 pixels or larger, but they are the least comfortable text on the site to read.

Tell us about a problem
